*A single Fat Quarter may be used in place of the yardage listed above for Fabrics 2, 3 & 5.

To demystify the secret of how much extra yardage is included in the fabric requirements listed on the back cover of each pattern, I have calculated the minimum length of fabric needed — if following the pattern exactly as written and assuming Width of Fabric (WOF) is 42″.
